Age UK Stockport provide a wide range of services focused
on helping those over the age of 50 to maintain their quality of
life, remain active and involved in the community and stay living
independently in their own homes. Our award winning WELLCHECK entry
point to Age UK Stockport offers expert and specialist information,
advice and support on all aspects of later life, linking to and
helping people find their way to a wide range and different levels
of support. We also have a number of services developed
specifically to give help and respite to older informal carers. Our
mission is, "Working locally for positive choices in later life"
and we work flexibly with each person in the best way for them and
their situation.
Services offered
PRACTICAL Support: Specialist Information & Advice, Financial advice, Computer Support, Handy Help, Gardening, Housing & Long Term Care support, Shopping, Pension collections, and 50+ Products and Insurance. WELLBEING Support: Hospital Discharge, range of modern Day Support & Activities, Carers Services, Counselling, Emotional and Physical Health Support, Befriending and a wide range of home visiting and support programs.
