Home-Start is the UK's leading family support organisation. Our trained parent volunteers support other parents living in Stockport who have a child under 5 and who are experiencing stress or difficulties. Problems in families may be due to any number of reasons such as post natal illness, disability, bereavement, social isolation, or the illness of a parent or a child .Our volunteers visit the family home to offer support, friendship and practical help and we are happy to accept self-referrals.
